Donnie Creek/Tommy Lakes Evacuation Alert
The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the Donnie Creek and Tommy Lakes areas. BC Wildfire Service has recommended an evacuation alert as a result of the Donnie Creek Wildfire. This area is primarily used by forestry, and gas and oil industry operations.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Donnie Creek/Tommy Lakes Evacuation Alert is in effect for the following areas:
- km 77 and north to km 89 on Tommy Lakes Road,
- extending east to Wendy Lake,
- to the border with the Norther Rockies Regional Municipality in the North.
An Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to an evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
This is the time to GET PREPARED to leave the area on short notice.
- Industry and other area users should be prepared to shut down operations and evacuate the area immediately.
- Refer to your emergency operational plan and risk assessment for a wildfire evacuation.
- Locate all staff and contractors and ensure they are aware of your evacuation plan should an Evacuation Order be called.
- Sign up for North East BC Emergency notifications at NEBCAlerts.com.
- For camps and other accommodations, use the Evacuation Alert Checklist at https://prrd.thedev.ca/evacuation-alert-checklist.
- Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, cell phone & charger and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick departure.

Boundary Lake Evacuation Alert #5
May 13, 2023 14:00 hrs
An expanded Evacuation Alert for the Boundary Lake has been issued by the Peace River Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). The five properties that were under an Evacuation Order are now included in the Evacuation Alert. This means the affected residents can return home.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for properties between the 237 Road and the Alberta Border on Cecil Lake Road, including properties approximately 20km North and South of the Cecil Lake Road. Please view map on the following page for more information.
Evacuation Alert #5 replaces Evacuation Alert #4, and expands the previous Alert area to include areas that were previously under Evacuation Order. If you were previously on Evacuation Alert or Evacuation Order, you will remain on Alert at this time.

- Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be called while separated
- Sign up for North East BC Emergency notifications at NEBCAlerts.com.
- Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers (e.g. insurance, passports, birth certificates, credit, and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents, cell phone and charger and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick access.
- Prepare to move disabled persons, children and/or neighbours, if assistance is needed.
- Prepare to take pets with you including pet care items (leash, carrier, food) and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
- Arrange transportation for all your household Fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles. If transportation assistance is needed, call 1-800-670-7773.
- Arrange accommodation for all members of the residence, if possible.
- Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued BEFORE evacuating. Monitor prrd.bc.ca and for information on evacuation orders and location of Reception Centres and hours of operation.

Red Creek Evacuation Alert #2
The Peace River Regional District has expanded the area under an Evacuation ALERT for the Red Creek wildfire (G80223). BC Wildfire has recommended this evacuation alert as a result of the Red Creek wildfire and fire behaviour. Please note: this Alert is in addition to the Evacuation Order and Alert already in place for other properties in the Red Creek Area.
Red Creek Evacuation Alert 2 applies to the following new areas:
- Extending North to the intersection of Highway 97N and the Beatton Airport Road to the intersection of Rose Prairie Road and Prespatou Road,
- Extending East to Prespatou Road, 256 Road, 281 Road, and the West shore Charlie Lake
- Extending South to Highway 29N, from the intersection of Highway 97N to Bear Flats.
The following properties remain under an Evacuation Alert:
- From the intersection of Highway 97N and Beatton Airport Road, heading north along Highway 97N to the 258 Road.
- Heading west beyond North Cache Creek,
- Heading northeast to Fox Creek
- Due west to the Prespatou Roa
- Follow the Prespatou Road south to the 256 road
- Following the 256 road west to the 281 Road
- Following the 281 road south to the 254 Road
- Following the 254 Road to Highway 97N
- As well as the area 5.5km west of Highway 97N and 4km north of Lyndon Subdivision

- on the East to the Alberta Boarder to the north shore of Boundary Lake, to 5km east of the 211 Road to the 248 Road, to the east of the 213 Road from the Cecil lake road to Moose Creek Ave, and to the east of the Clayhurst Road from Moose Creek Ave to 1.2km north of the 240 Road, to the Alberta border.
- on the South 1.0km to the south of the 236 Road
- on the West 28.4km west if the Alberta border
- on the Southwest 18.4km west of Alces River.
- on the North 6.5km to the north of the 256 Road.

The Peace River Regional District has issued evacuation ALERT for the Red Creek wildfire (G80223) for properties in the Red Creek, Lower Cache and south of the Beatton Airport Road areas as follows:
- From the intersection of Highway 97N and Beatton Airport Road, heading north along Highway 97N to the 258 Road.
- Heading west beyond North Cache Creek,
- Heading northeast to Fox Creek
- Due west to the Prespatou Road
- Follow the Prespatou Road south to the 256 road
- Following the 256 road west to the 281 Road
- Following the 281 road south to the 254 Road
- Following the 254 Road to Highway 97N

The Peace River Regional District has revised the evacuation ALERT for the Boundary Lake wildfire (G80220) for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area:
- From a point on the Alberta Border, 9km south of where the Cecil Lake Road crosses the Alberta Border
- Due west to the end of the 219 Road
- Heading northeast to the intersection of 244 Road and 223 Road
- 26km due north
- 10km due west
- Due south to the end of the 242 Road
- Heading southeast to a point 5km south of the end of Bison Road
- Due east to the Alberta Border

Evacuation Alert #2 Rescind – Bearhole Lake Wildfire (G72178)
The Evacuation Alert (#2), pursuant to Section 12(1) of the BC Emergency Program Act issued on September 8, 2022 to the area(s) listed below, has been RESCINDED:
• 4 km West of the Alberta border
• 5 km North of Kelly Lake until 5km South of Kelly Lake

Evacuation Alert #4 – REVISED AREA: Battleship Mountain Wildfire (G72150)
The Peace River Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has issued a revised Evacuation Alert in follow up to Evacuation Order #2 that was issued on September 10, 2022 at 12:00hrs as a proactive measure to ensure that residents have time to prepare should the situation at the Battleship Mountain wildfire (G72150) change in the coming days.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Peace River Regional District has issued a revised Evacuation Alert for the following areas:
- Following the eastern boundary of Butler Ridge Provincial Park from the District of Hudson’s Hope Boundary to the Northern tip, proceeding east until a point intersection Farrell Creek;
- South following Farrell Creek to a point 1km North of Highway 29 North, due West to the District of Hudson’s Hope boundary;
- East of Johnson Creek forestry service road at 40km, North following Dowling Creek to the District of Hudson’s Hope boundary;
- South along the Hudson’s Hope boundary to a point where it intersects Coalbed Creek, and Southwest to a point of intersection with Pete Lake, continuing Southwest to a point of intersection with Moberly Lake forestry service road;
- West following Moberly River to a point including Stubley Creek heading in a north-westerly direction to the boundary of Klin-Se-Za Addition Provincial Park;
- North along the easterly boundary of the Klin-Se-Za Addition Provincial Park, to a point intersecting Dowling Creek and north following Dowling Creek to the Johnson FSR to 40km.
