The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the Stoddart Creek wildfire due to immediate danger to life safety.

The Evacuation Order is in effect for properties in the following area:

• North of 256 Rd, south of Blueberry River (272 Rd), east of Hwy 97 and Beatton Airport Rd, west of Prespatou Rd

Please note that Blueberry River First Nations is not being evacuated.

YOU MUST LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY!

If you need assistance to evacuate from the area, such as for transportation, mobility, health, or other needs, please advise the person providing this notice or call 1-800-670-7773.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

• Travel to Fort St. John by the safest route for your area. Visit Drive BC for road conditions.
• Register for Emergency Support Services (ESS)t:
  • at the Reception Centre located at North Peace Arena at 9805 – 96 Avenue, Fort St John, or
  • by calling ESS at 250 794-3310 , which is also available after hours.
• Shut off all gas and electrical appliances, other than refrigerators and freezers.
• Close and lock all windows and doors.
• Close gates (latch) but do not lock them.
• Gather your family and, if you have room, take a neighbour or someone needing transportation. Do not use more vehicles than needed.
• Take critical items (identification, credit cards, medicine, cell, phone and charger, and keys) only if they are immediately available.
• Take pets in pet kennels or on leash.

Evacuation ORDER Stoddart Creek – May 13 2023

The Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order for the Donnie Creek and Tommy Lakes areas due immediate danger to life safety caused by a wildfire. This area is primarily used by forestry, and gas and oil industry operations.

The Donnie Creek/Tommy Lakes Evacuation Order is in effect for the following areas:

• 89 km and north on the Tommy Lakes Road,
• Extending to the confluence of the Sikanni Chief River and the Buckinghorse River in the southeast,
• To the border with the Norther Rockies Regional Municipality in the north
• To the Gutah and West Gutah Creek in the east.

YOU MUST LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY

Industry and other area users should shut down operations and evacuate the area immediately.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

• Due to smoke and fire in the area, the recommended evacuation through the following route:
  • If you are north of the 89 km mark on Tommy Lakes Road, proceed south on Tommy Lakes Road to Highway 97 South to Fort St John.
• Shut off all gas and electrical appliances, other than refrigerators and freezers.
• Close all windows and doors.
• Take critical items (medicine, purse, wallet, cell & charger and keys) only if they are immediately available. Take pets in pet kennels or on leash.

Tommy Lakes Evacuation Order May-13-2023

The Peace River Regional District has rescinded the Boundary Lake Evacuation Order #4 as of 14:30 hrs (2:30 p.m.) on May 13, 2023. This means the Evacuation Order is cancelled pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the BC Emergency Program for the Goodlow area, including:

• properties west of Clayhurst Road between Cecil Lake Road and Moose Creek Road, and
• properties on the north side of Moose Creek Road, west of Clayhurst Road.

Please note that an Evacuation Order may need to be reissued; however, if that is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Order process will re-commence.

Pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the BC Emergency Program Act an Evacuation Order has been issued by the Peace River Regional District due to immediate danger to life safety caused by a wildfire. Evacuation Order #4 replaces Evacuation order #3. A map of the area can be found below.

• Properties on the West side of Clayhurst Road between Cecil Lake Road and Moose Creek Road.

Evacuation ORDER #4 May 9, 2023

The Peace River Regional District has reduced the evacuation ORDER area for the Boundary Lake wildfire (G80220) for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area.

The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has changed the areas affected by the Boundary Lake Evacuation as of 5 p.m. today (May 7, 2023). Some properties in the Boundary Lake/Goodlow area, north of Cecil Lake road and west of 213 Road, have been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert and those residents can return home. However, properties west of the Alberta border to 213 Road remain under the Evacuation Order. There are no changes to the Red Creek Evacuation Orders or Alerts.

The Evacuation Order remains in effect for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area within the following boundaries:

• on the East to the Alberta border
• on the South to the north-side of Moose Creek Avenue and to 1.2km north of the 240 Road.
• on the West to the east side of 213 Road to Moose Creek Ave, and to the east side of Clayhurst Road from Moose Creek Ave.
• on the North to the south side of Cecil Lake and 248 Roads to the end of the 248 road, and to 2.0km north of the Cecil Lake Road

The Peace River Regional District has issued an evacuation ORDER for the Red Creek wildfire (G80223) for properties in the Red Creek and Lower Cache areas. Members of the RCMP and other applicable agencies will be expediting this action.

The Evacuation ORDER is in effect for the following areas:

• From a point 0.75km south of the intersection of the Red Creek Road and Highway 97N
• Headed south west to a point of intersection of the Red Creek
• Following the Red Creek south to Cache Creek
• Following the Cache Creek west to the North Cache Creek
• Following the North Cache Creek north to a point due east of the 258 road
• Due east to Highway 97N

1. Evacuate the area immediately!
2. Due to smoke and fire in the area, it is recommended to evacuate through the following route:
   1. Follow the Red Creek Road or Lower Cache Road East to Highway 97N and continue to Fort St John.
3. Proceed the to Emergency Support Services reception centre located at North Peace Arena – 9805 96 Avenue, Fort St. John, BC.
4. If the reception center is closed when you arrive please call (250) 794-3310.
5. Please visit prrd.bc.ca and the BC Wildfire Service regularly for current information.

The Peace River Regional District has expanded the evacuation ORDER for the Boundary Lake wildfire (G80220) for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area. The area has been expanded as a result of aggressive fire behavior and the risk to life safety. Members of the RCMP and other applicable agencies will be expediting this action.

The Evacuation Order is in effect for the following areas:

• on the East to the Alberta border
• on the South to the south-side of Imperial Avenue
• on the West to the West side of 223 Road
• on the North to the North side of 256 Road.

A state of local emergency has been declared for Electoral Area C in the Peace River Regional District as a result of the imminent threat to people and property due to wildfire.  The state of local emergency will remain in effect for 7 days or until cancelled by the Peace River Regional District.

The Peace River Regional District has issued an evacuation ORDER for the Boundary Lake wildfire (G80220) for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area listed below:

Members of the RCMP and other applicable agencies will be expediting this action.

The Evacuation Order is in effect for the following areas:

• The community of Goodlow
• North of Moonlight Creek from the Alberta border
• Headed northwest to Boundary Creek
• Continuing northwest along Alces River to a point dues east of 14313 – 211 Road,
• Continuing east to 14313 -211 Road
• From 14313 -211 Road headed southeast to a junction between boundary lake and the Alberta border

1. Evacuate the area immediately!
2. Due to smoke and fire in the area, it is recommended to evacuate through the following route:
   • IF you live North of the Cecil Lake Road, proceed North along 211 Road, then west along 256 Road, then south along the 221 Road, then west along the Cecil Lake Road
   • IF you live on the Cecil Lake Road, proceed west along the Cecil Lake Road
3. Proceed the to Emergency Support Services reception centre located at North Peace Arena – 9805 96 Avenue, Fort St. John, BC.
4. The Reception Centre will be open on Friday, May 5 until 12:00 midnight. IF the reception center is closed when you arrive please call (250) 794-3310.

Evacuation ORDER #1 May 5, 2023

The Evacuation Order #1 regarding the Tomslake HAZMAT Motor Vehicle Incident is now rescinded (cancelled), effective immediately. Residents can now return home.
Security will continue monitoring the cargo truck overnight, and there is no risk to the public at this time.

The RESCIND includes the following area of Tomslake, specifically a 1-kilometre radius of the junction of Highway 2 and 198 Road and extending South on Highway 2 to the intersection of Highway 2 and 197 Road.
