Based on recommendations from BC Wildfire Service the Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert due to the potential danger to life and health, the following area is asked to be on alert:
- From the junction of Weaver Rd and One Island Lake Rd, southwesterly and southerly following the western boundary of Evacuation Orders, from north to south, #4, #2, #1, #3, #5 to a point of intersection with Hwy 52E,
- West 13.8 km,
- North crossing Thunder Creek and Kiskatinaw River for 13.7 km,
- Northwesterly 16 km to a point of intersection with Hourglass Rd which is approximately 3.5 km due of west of Noel Rd,
- North 20.8 km to approximately Burial Creek,
- East 21.8 km to the Junction of Weaver Rd and One Island Lake Rd,
- This includes all of Bearhole Lake Protected Area and a portion of Bearhole Lake Park.

- From a point 1.4 km North of Sikanni Chief Bridge on Hwy 97N
- Easterly from said point on Hwy 97N 10 km
- Southeasterly approximately 9.4 km
- Southwesterly 11 km to a point of intersection with Hwy 97N
- Continuing southwesterly for 19 km
- In a Northwesterly direction 12.5 km
- Easterly 21 km to a point of intersection with Hwy 97N

- Starts 3.4 km west of the 330 Mile marker of Hwy 97N on the Minaker River
- North for 7.1 km
- West for 14.9 km
- South for 7.5 km
- East for 13.7 km to the point on the Minaker River

- In a Northeasterly direction, approximately 14 km to the BC border
- Southerly along the BC border for 11.2 km
- In a Northwesterly direction, approximately 16.2 km to Hwy 52 East

- Encompassing Highway 97 in the Buckinghorse area
- From the Buckinghorse River bridge,1.5 km south on highway 97N
- From Highway 97N, Easterly 1.8 km
- Northerly for 10 km
- Westerly for 4.45 km
- Southerly for .6 km to Highway 97N
- Continuing southerly for 7.11 km
- Easterly 2 km to highway 97N
This Alert is approximately between Mile 170 and 180 on Highway 97N.

Kiskatinaw River Wildfire (G70422) Evacuation Alert #1

Official notice: Kiskatinaw River Wildfire Alert #1
Based on recommendations from BC Wildfire Service the Peace River Regional District has issued Evacuation Alert #1 for the Kiskatinaw River Wildfire (G70422). This Alert is in place due to the potential danger to life and health. PRRD Alerts do not affect First Nations communities on Reserve Lands or municipalities as they issue their own.
The following area is asked to be on Alert:
- Approximately 10 km south of One Island Lake turnoff on Highway 52E
- 14 km west to the west side of One Island Lake
- Due south approximately 20 km
- Due east approximately 22 km to the BC border
- North 17 km to a point along the BC Border
- Due west approximately 7 km to Highway 52E

As an Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises, or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much notice as possible prior to evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions. Additional information about Evacuation Alerts and Orders will be posted at prrd.bc.ca as it becomes available.
Now is the time to get prepared:
- Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be declared while separated.
- Sign up for North East BC Emergency notifications at nebcalerts.com to receive alerts about Evacuation Orders and Evacuation Alerts.
- Pack essential items for a quick departure, such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers (e.g. insurance, passports, birth certificates, banking and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents, cell phone and charger and, if time and space permits, personal keepsakes.
- Prepare to move disabled persons, children, and neighbours if they need assistance.
- Prepare to take pets with you, including pet care items (leash, carrier, food), and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
- Arrange transportation for all your household and fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles.
- Arrange accommodation for all members of the residence, if possible.
- If you need assistance evacuating from the area, such as for transportation, mobility, health, or other needs, please call 1-800-670-7773.
- Wait for an Evacuation Order BEFORE evacuating.
- Monitor prrd.bc.ca for information on evacuation orders, location of Reception Centres and their hours of operation.
